Newborn Sessions....a year in review!
I am a bit late in posting our 2017 Newborn Review...but here goes!
2017, was a year that saw a lot of development and growth in how we capture your gorgeous new bundles of love.
In February 2017, I took a massive step in promoting Safety during our Newborn Sessions by bringing on board an assistant to help and support me during the sessions. From the moment Pauline stepped foot in the studio we knew she was a perfect fit, within a few minutes of her first session she wasn't just asking me what I needed, she was handing me what I needed before I had to ask, and that continues to this day. She can read my mind during sessions, and just instinctively knows what needs to be done and when to do it.
Her role is to ensure there is always a pair of hands nearby baby, she is always 'spotting' baby, making sure they are both safe and comfortable. We sometimes do some more complex poses which involve a lot of hands on to ensure baby is safe at all times, during these poses Pauline's hands are on baby at all times.
Another role she has taken on board, is to help with set & prop design, she has a way of bringing the perfect props, colours and textures together which has allowed me to develop and expand the range & style of images we can capture.
Oh...and she also loves Newborn cuddles....so while I am showing parents our Reveal Room & range of gorgeous Wall Art Pieces in the studio, Pauline will quite happily keep an eye on your little one.
I have personally trained Pauline so we know how each other works and how to ensure our Newborn Sessions run smoothly and most importantly safely. Most importantly we are great friends so don't be surprised if there's a giggle and some fun during your session!
My own Professional Development in the world of Newborn Photography, remains at the forefront and throughout 2017 I have completed various training courses and workshops both online and in person with some of the top Newborn Photographers in the world.
The culmination of this Professional Development in 2017 was applying for and achieving the credential of Qualified Newborn Photographer from the APNPI ( Association of Professional Newborn Photographers International.
The process involved firstly the completion of an online safety course and then the submitting of 20 images under various sections for review by a panel consisting of some of the top Newborn Photographers in the world.
I am currently only one of four Newborn Photographers in Ireland to achieve this, and the only photographer in the Midlands.
Below is a little Slideshow of some of our gorgeous Newborn Babies from 2017....sit back with a cuppa and enjoy!
We are looking forward to introducing some more very exciting changes to both the studio in Tullamore, Wall Art Pieces and the way we capture your little one in 2018...we hope to see you soon!
