Week 11 & 12 - a hint of green, black , white & blue!
Ooooooops I did it again ;-)
It has been an absolutely manic couple of weeks, 4 big shoots have gone on (some images uploaded and some shoots remaining private at request of clients), one major project (non photographic) taking up loads of time, children have loads going on in after school activities and are now on 2 weeks Easter Holidays.
Sooo week 11 was 'seeing green' which was appropriate as it was St.Patrick's Day.
Tim & I went to the parade ( Mic was due to walk in it also but backed out when we got to the meet up point and himself and Daddy went off to Bosco's shop to get a treat and then down to granny's house to watch a different St.Patrick's Day parade because apparently Portlaoise is such a large ‘country’ that we have two parades!) this one was taken on the phone and I can honestly say it was one of the nicest day time pints ever.
Tim walked in the parade so by the end everyone was wet and frozen and my friend Sinead had the good sense to suggest debunking to Casey’s for a warm up pint ;-) Tim went old skool with a soft drink and a bag of Tayto!
Week 12 'It's all there in black and white'
It’s all there in black and white, simple shot sure pick anything and convert it to mono…there ya have it done and dusted…or maybe not.
You may remember the weather last week, non-stop rain on Thursday & Friday, now we haven’t had the best of Winters and Spring seems to have disappeared back into Winter’s clutches, but I held faith all along and kept on saying; ‘we’re nearly there, come mid-March things will get better’.
Hmmmm things started getting worse again and on Friday morning I officially gave in and decided I may as well have that ‘poor me’ day that had been brewing for a while. I had it, I photographed it, I used up all my courage to go to the opening of an exhibition that I knew was going to be packed with people and for some reason I felt really uncomfortable going to and I got over it and moved on. As I said on my Facebook page though, don’t read too much into it, we all have our off days some of us mope about bitching and moaning at the world and blaming everyone else for us feeling the way we do and some of us acknowledge we are having a bad day, embrace it, record it and move on.
I decided to record the tracks of my tears.
