Week 5/52 'Blue'
So this week's theme was 'blue', some lovely and very interesting shots over on our FB group http://www.facebook.com/groups/52unlaoised/
Last year I experimented a bit with 'smoke art photography', and I have been wanting to do a smoke session again for a while now. When I heard the theme I knew this was the perfect chance to do just that.
Taking smoke shots can be both great fun and very frustrating, I've learnt a lot about the set up and what smoke source to use, lighting, lighting power etc
'Where it all began'
And that's only the start of it,wait until you get into the fun part and import your shots into your editing software...woah, now we are going to have a party!!
All of these were edited in Lightroom & Photoshop, various effects were added, subtracted, twirled around, colourised, sphered, rippled and some were even blown apart!
I love the T2 style of this guy, a very simple effect to achieve with just a couple of minutes in Photoshop.
This final image took the longest. I came across a tutorial on how to do this and decided ;wouldnd't that be fun'! It was fun but it was also very frustrating at times. I learnt a massive amount again and discovered that my method of doing things was sometimes a very long winded way.
It's not perfect but I am happy with it...for the moment ;-)
Week 6 = 'half full/half empty'...hmmmmm any suggestions?
